I was telling a friend that I would absolutely pay an "assistant on demand" service, like someone who can send the emails I struggle with on my behalf. Would not need that person full time, more like some quests πŸ˜…

I kind of need it for many tasks, but, I could give it a try. Also, I know myself, I will find some folder on my computer to order offline as a sidequest haha.

If you are going to push your AI feature down my throat I shall try it. But I have expectations.
If you can't find relevant information for people with ADHD at work, in a book about, neurodiversity at work, don't even bother putting that shady AI button.

Does the existence of a "Fantasy Fiction books" category mean, there is also a "Fantasy Non-Fiction books" category somewhere. If so: where is my dragon?!?

Also, if you want to check it out, free fantasy fiction (and other) ebooks: www.obooko.com/category/fre...

Music helps 80% of the time. But this email is one that I've been postponing since December, it's not a fun one and it's an administrative task, so of course my brain looks for anything else to do.
I did it though, wee, finally sent it!! But gosh, the executive dysfunction is huge today.

You know the people who got the ADHD leash, that binds them to a specific place in the kitchen so they don't go on side quests while doing the dishes? Is there a virtual version of this, so that I don't go on side quests on the computer while writing important emails?
Yes, this post is a side quest

Before you share your "cool" button code for AI to spread it further, maybe learn HTML basics to ensure the elements you crammed inside (which you don't need anyway, could easily ditch them & get the same result with a single pseudo) are permitted inside button

English: A little while ago, I tested a cute little Cricut Maker 4 for Mini Machines. Honestly, it is great, very nice and easy to use for beginners, and it makes clean cuts, just the way we like them.

Part 1 is here, with stickers, earrings, and repositionable vinyl.

I really like this talk. I think I want to do more of this. Dig deeper, and see how we can equip designers with the rights tools. Because often, school teaches you how to survive in an agency. Not how to survive, and actually thrive in complex enterprise environments.
February 12, 2026 at 1:31 PM
I'm also sharing some lesson learned, from such environment: why UX maturity is low, what to do about it, how to deal with constraints such as politics, change management and more.
February 12, 2026 at 1:31 PM
I'm talking about my journey in enterprise UX in a private meetup this week: the methods I use to improve complex products, my research and design process.
Here's my honest process. Acknowledging the fear of complexity, is, part of it. An important part.

The open source design stack if you are tired of every design tool ridding the AI slope, or just need open source alternatives, here is a goldmine of open source alternatives for research, prototyping and collaboration, with Penpot and HTML/CSS at the heart of a saner design stack. By Scott Riley
The open source design stack
Scott Riley tested free and open source design tools out when researching his course, Mindful Design. They actually worked out better than Figma ever could, as he explains in this article with loads of options for you.

While having accessible components doesn't guarantee that the product will be, it's a good first step into the right direction.

- test tokens: color contrast, spacing to have big enough target sizes, responsiveness to avoid scroll and hidden content issues
- names for controls (buttons, links, form elements)
- zoom and user preferences
- screen reader compability

Testing accessibility issues at components level is a good first step to make your product accessible.
Hidde De Vries shares 5 quick tests you can run:
- test component keyboard accessibility

Hidde de Vries explains how to test components for accessibility, from keyboard support to screen readers and zoom.

Not very important question for people who listen to audiobooks (or use text to speech/ screen reader to read): do you also listen x1.5 to x2 during the day while you work, clean, workout but x1.2 only when you read to fall asleep? I'm curious now.

I propose we send this article to our invisible person, to remind them, that they are, in fact seen.

The Invisible Work by Hardik Pandya (8min) hvpandya.com/invisible-work

We all know that person, who does the invisible work, who quietly coordinates and holds projects together. They sadly rarely get credit for it though. It’s hard to measure, and often overlooked. We need to find leaders who can see and reward this invisible work.
The Invisible Work
The coordination work that holds projects together disappears the moment it works. On the unfairness of recognition and finding leaders who see it anyway.

What helps bring such innovation to life, it a human centered framework:
- start with empathy: design for real human barriers
- ideate and prototype
- test with real users, including disabled users
- iterate on feedback
