Oh man. I wanted to love this so much, but I kept experiencing issues with the software crashing, calendar not saving, contacts getting lost, etc.

I ended up with an iPhone paired with a cellular Apple Watch. The watch is basically my dumb phone now.

Did you try the light phone?

Having an iPad has proven helpful. It’s too clunky to carry all the time. I open it, do what I need to do, and set it down.

I also decided to change my phone number as part of the process.

I saved my old number by moving it to Google Voice, so I can still receive texts and calls to the old number, but not on the device I have in my pocket all the time.

I’ve made the switch from iOS to the Light Phone iii from @thelightphone.bsky.social.

Not on my phone nearly as much. Easy to carry. The camera is fun and easy.

So far, #goinglight is going great.
