A little over 3 months into being vegan, after about 3 years of vegetarian, and my blood tests all came back normal. Idk where all the iron and creatine and B12 misinformation comes from but it’s all a bunch of nonsense.

Running errands today, I ended up riding my bike almost 25 miles. It sure didn’t feel like it and I absolutely coulda done more. I’m hoping Thursday is nicer so I can go get some pictures of the remaining fall leaves.

For sure! My days off are very consistent and I’m down to meet up late. I feel like most of the biking events happen when I’m at work so it’d be fun to ride at more convenient times for folks like us. 😊

I’d love to try and get together irl! I’m a bartender so my schedule is a bit funky but I’d love to figure out a time and place that works! In the summer, I had a group of coworkers that got together to ride bikes and hang out on Mondays (closed) but I’d love to have some more bike friends. 😁

I have noticed as a recent (just over 3 years now) transplant that making friends is hard here. Everyone just keeps to themselves more, for better and for worse. In my hometown, I continued making friends as an adult, very easily.

I had a doctors appointment for the first time in several years today. I struggled to get up in time (I normally sleep about 6am-12pm). Then I biked there in the rain, and that helped wake me up. 😅 On my way home, I stopped and had coffee at one of my favorite spots as a treat.

One of my coworkers decided to get a Lt. Dangle costume (from Reno 911). I had the same one, and he’s like “uhh, I think the shorts might be too short”.

😂 idk that he’s seen the show bc that’s like a big part of the character. He’s trying to figure out what to wear under them now.

I got home from work and while I was putting my stuff away, Atlas came and jumped up on the bed and slammed his head up into my mouth, which cut my lip up pretty bad and left a little goose egg on his head. I know he was just excited but I’m a little frustrated with him right now. 😑

So far, I like my new bike. But it’s not perfect.

The tires are too slick. Easy fix.

Class 3 PAS is only available with the throttle disconnected. Not ideal but not a huge deal.

It’s stuck in km. I changed it, but the numbers stay the same but just say miles after. 🙃 Just weird/annoying.

So we’ve got a little stick-figure cartoon here and there’s two people sitting at a table enjoying a beer, while two other people approach them, one of them looking pretty threatening and cracking his knuckles. The guy he’s with starts talking to the people at the table “Real nice place you like hanging out in here…” he begins, “would be a real shame if it were to become an unusable, horrible place full of spam and slop…”

This threat is immediately confusing to the people at the table, one of whom replies “Wait what? Isn’t this YOUR place?”

I had a Google Maps employee on Facebook tell me that there’s actually different colors of solid green to differentiate between them. But I can’t see any difference.

I’ve also noticed it’s wrong very often, so I use it more as a guide. If I was visiting, I’d be pissed.
