"the time of monsters" is a wrong translation that betrays Gramsci by treating the present as a product, thing, or terratology, rather than a process manifesting deeper structural disfunction (a symptom) of centrist liberal capitalism

exactly! although the premise of a hidden notebook is sort of far-fetched, imo, and after 89, even if there was one, it wouldn't really mean much to anyone at this point.
