I very much hope this technology will be developed and offered to women as an option to physically carrying a pregnancy, which strikes me as one of the remaining core brutalities. I know, some women love it. For me, it was enough of a visceral turn-off that I chose to not have children.

I don’t have a political identity, but if I did, it would be close to this cohort’s. I’m much more interested in pragmatism than I am in political ideology. Frankly, rank adherence to ideology is a no-go area for me as it requires me to subordinate my rational faculties to uncontrollable emotion.

We would be in a much better place if the fossil fuel interests had invested the umpteen millions they’ve spent since the 70’s spreading climate denial, into new technology and systems instead. But, they haven’t. They aren’t. Theirs is a sociopathic industry, atavistic and mired in diseased denial.

Beyond the Mayoral race in NY, I have not heard ANY policies forwarded by Democrats, other than expansion of ACA subsidies, that voters should have, NOW, so they can chew over alternative policies leading up to mid-terms. There are so many GREAT policies the Dems could be floating. Why aren’t they?

I truly regret having to harbor these thoughts about Gates. He was, I thought, one of the redeeming lights on the fields of wealth and power. I held him in such high regard. I can’t believe he’s taken this turn. Perhaps he was faking all along. Could be. Only he knows. I feel real disappointment.
