Tusk is spot on.

Anyone in free Europe who isn't grateful to Ukraine lacks an understanding of where we'd be today without their incredible courage and sacrifices.

Kyiv was the first step on Russia's bloody quest to resurrect their miserable failed empire.

Ukrainians simply wouldn't allow it ✊❤️

Some say that Ukraine should be grateful for everything.
The truth is exactly the opposite. The rest of us should be grateful to Ukraine.

"This focus on the short-term is largely justified. Europe needs at least five to ten years to rearm, while according to NATO’s own estimates, Russia may attempt an incursion into NATO territory in as soon as four. The current European response still lacks urgency and strategic vision."

its just the bigger european need do more. Its stupid when you see france dedicate like 0.2% of gdp in 4 years when Denmark and estonia and sweden etc are doing like 2%+

This could have been much better if west and south european countries did their share too, but... its their choise.

❗️Frederiksen on Russia:

Talking about the number of losses — 35,000 — if it were in one of our countries, it would be a major disaster and we would never be able to forgive ourselves. But it’s Russia, and they don’t count soldiers by the number of 35,000.

🇩🇰 Denmark’s PM Frederiksen:

Our problem in Ukraine is still that there are red lines when it comes to the weapons they can use to win this war.

And you cannot win a war with one hand tied on your back. We need to give them weapons so they can strike into Russia.

The short answer is that the trust is gone.
Whatever we build from here needs to be able to stand without the US, both with the current regime, and in the future.
And yes, we will be stronger together, but then we are back to that trust thing.

It's a good point, but I think this is even more annoying. It's not just the political elite; our establishment is exactly the same as society, desperately clinging to the good old days. And these are quite recent.

That the European establishment lept to their feet to give Marco Rubio a standing ovation at #MSC is a prime example of what I wrote about last week.

He insulted them and promised to break Europe apart. But they desperately sought comfort in his words about America & Europe sharing a common culture
