At the polls in VA today a GOP operative asked me to take his sample ballot. I replied, “in a choice between one party that wants to feed hungry kids and the other that wants to put some kids in handcuffs, I’ll go with the party that wants to feed the kids.”

O’Donnell could have followed up by saying that going back to 2016 Trump promised a health care plan “much better” than Obamacare, how it would be”easy” and yet we have never seen anything from him 9 years later. But that would be real journalism, not something a lightweight like O’Donnell practices

The House passed CR funded the government through Nov 21. If the Dems in the Senate pass it on November 20, would federal workers, military, and SNAP be paid through November with feds and military getting back pay to Oct 1? The government would shut down again on Nov 22 unless a deal is reached.

Minority view that may piss u off: the 1987economy is not the 2025 economy. Reagan was wrong: targeted tariffs made sense 40 yrs ago. Let’s not be so desperate that we laud Reagan and his flawed policies (that caused pain) because what he did in a different context supports our view 4 decades later

to pay the troops. Of course, when his lips are moving, it’s a dead giveaway he’s lying. Oh, and because there are 1.3 million active duty military, the “donation” is only $100 per person. Trump is not even good at lying, despite all the practice.
