I listened to the scene between George and Jolene twice. I think it was more desperation than villainy on his part. He genuinely did put himself out for J&K. But, he really doesn't grasp anything like the level of negative effects his actions had.

I think Emma and Ed are also moral people. And Will mostly was for a long time, though he seems to have become more like Eddie recently. Neil and Susan are also moral people. George has always been drawn to the chancers. Joe, Eddie, Alf and Clive. They are his tribe.
