Another pic of the Coal Tit in my garden yesterday. We go for months without seeing them here, so it’s always a bit of an event when one does grace us with its presence #UKBirding #norfolkbirding #ukwildlife #birds

Bewick's Swan with an injured wing on the Ouse Relief Channel. It obviously wasn't able to head off to its breeding grounds in the spring. Its fellow Bewick's will be returning to the Fens shortly, so hopefully it will get to spend a few months among its own kind #UKBirding #norfolkbirds #birds

I just watched this back full screen, and noticed that the “steady shaky camera” setting on my video editor has smoothed out the bird’s dipping to the extent that you can see the background bobbing up and down instead.

Red Kite. Very distant, but still at least one juvenile Cuckoo hanging about. Kestrel. Obligatory Meadow Pipits.

Great Spotted Woodpecker in the garden this morning, an annual autumn event over the last few years. I assume young birds dispersing to find their own territories (a hint of red still visible on the crown here) #UKBirding #norfolkbirding #birds
