Dual screen action for me tonight with Clemson on TV and the Cubs game on the iPad. Need a third device for the other games. 😂

Clemson breaks out the 'Orange Britches' for tonight's game at Boston College. Tigers usually only wear them for postseason and against South Carolina. Dabo Swinney got his first win as head coach at Boston in 2008, so perhaps an ode to that.

Stories like these are why I love college football and its fans. Thanks for sharing this.

Whenever I die please spread the word that college football took no less than 15 years off my life.

Broadcasting 101. I’ve done it for radio and it’s sometimes hard to get everything some information out in the frantic rush of things but absolutely he has to keep an eye on things.

Joe Tessitore gets a lot of praise for his excitement on calls, but he’s been oblivious to two plays happening right in front of him on ABC broadcast today. Ty Simpson fumble only got acknowledged after refs signaled Missouri ball.

Thank you for linking to an AP story. ☺️

Just to stay on this point, Adam Amin and the Fox booth stayed quiet after the walk off single and let the crowd do the talking and fill the void. The mark of a good broadcaster is, never make the moment about you.

Omg!! Mariners did it. What a scene in Seattle. Happy for those fans. GREAT game!

Mariners were involved in the last postseason game that went at least this long (against the Astros in 2022). No dog in this fight and the Tigers have great fans but Seattle’s postseason drought has me rooting for them.

A.J. Pierzynski to me is fantastic as an analyst on Fox’s postseason coverage. Really good insight and unafraid to say what he’s thinking as a former hitter. Good broadcast booth all around.

The way I’m trying to talk myself into thinking the Cubs will win three straight in their series. 😂

Best news for the Blue Jays is that both of these teams are wearing out their pitching staffs and that the home field advantage belongs to Toronto. That said I’m loving this game and hanging onto every pitch. October baseball!

This is personal to me. My final manuscript at CDC was published earlier in the year in MMWR. Incredible people work for this journal. I've got friends who are EIS officers. I've worked with folks at CDC Washington. This is bullshit. No one deserves this. SMH

BREAKING: Friday night massacre underway at CDC. Doznes of "disease detectives," high-level scientists, entire Washington staff and editors of the MMWR (Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report) have all been RIFed and received the following notice:

At a weekly dinner with a friend who says: “I saw your boy in the news the other day.” He refers to everyone as “your boy” so I asked who.

Him: “Luigi something. That his name?”
Me: “Oh he’s *my* boy now?”

(A few seconds later)

Me: “Eh. I’ll allow it.”

Oh no. I love blonde roast but too much of it always has me acting like Daffy Duck 😂

I would say my mother, but that would imply that I don't still feel her presence. I very much do and don't want to cheapen that by referring to her as "gone." I don't know if others have felt similarly about a parent.

“And in those days, the only ‘influencers’ we had were your friends’ older brothers who had cool cars, and maybe the deejay on our favorite rock station.”

This is true on Duke in ‘91. He won over 50 percent of the white vote in Louisiana.

Happy for you and all the Blue Jays fans. I’m pulling for either them or Seattle to win it all. Both have always been easy to cheer for.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.
