Strand Larsen furious at the end. Venting his anger at various members of the coaching staff. He didn't seem happy with the decision to take him off. #WWFC

FULL TIME
WOLVES 1-1 BRIGHTON
More late heartbreak. Suggestions it should have been a goal-kick rather than the corner which brought the equaliser (haven't seen a replay) but Wolves ultimately punished for not killing the game off. Arias over the bar and JSL against the woodwork huge moments. #WWFC

Awful goal for Wolves to concede. They switch off, allow a short corner and De Cuyper delivered a simple cross for Van Hecke to thunder home a header. #WWFC

1-1. Van Hecke heads Brighton level. #WWFC

Strand Larsen bursts into the box and hits the base of the post with a firm shot. Then at the other end Krejci makes a superb tackle and celebrates it in front of the North Bank. #WWFC

Agbadou replaces Hwang in Wolves' first change, which will presumably mean a change of system too. #WWFC

Magnificent save by Johnstone to keep it at 1-0. Cross from the Brighton left finds Rutter, whose shot is turned around the post superbly by Johnstone. #WWFC

It has to be 2-0... But it's not. JSL does well to hold the ball up and wait for support. He finds Hwang, who feeds Hugo Bueno on the overlap. Bueno's cross finds Arias but he blazes over from about 10 yards. Huge chance gone. #WWFC

Told that Pereira's red card means he's not allowed to watch the game from the stands, so he'll currently be watching on a screen in his office. #WWFC

HALF TIME
WOLVES 1-0 BRIGHTON
A largely scrappy game, not helped by a swirling wind, but Wolves have had the better of the chances and just about merit their lead. They lacked intensity in the early stages but have got better as the half wore on. #WWFC

Wolves won't care if the scoreline stays like this, but it hasn't been a great game so far. Scrappy and disjointed. Wolves probably the better side, though. #WWFC

Ball floated into the box, flicked on, Welbeck connects poorly with a defensive header and Munetsi lets fly on the half-volley. Verbruggen fingertips it onto the bar but it bounces down, hits his other hand and goes in. Munetsi will claim it but technically probably an OG. #WWFC

VItor Pereira sent off. He had just booted a ball into the dugout where the Premier League match manager is sitting in frustration. #WWFC

Teams out at Molineux for what feels like a massive game for Wolves. Joao Gomes captain, Wolves still with a back 4. #WWFC

A year ago today, Mark Townsend went to watch West Brom at Hillsborough and did not come home. Tomorrow, his relatives will be back in Sheffield for the start of an inquest that they hope will lead to answers. #WBA @theathleticfc.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/athletic/666...

Wolves players sink to the turf. Pereira chuntering angrily as he walks onto the pitch. Joao Gomes off the bench with his head in his hands. A much-improved display from Wolves but such a sinking feeling to end the evening with. #WWFC

TOTTENHAM 1-1 WOLVES
Not the perfect performance from Wolves but very much improved, more dogged and hard to break down. So close to a huge win but denied at the last. Thought Santi Bueno, Krejci and Andre were the pick of the players. #WWFC

A fine finish from Palhinha but Wolves will wonder whether they put enough pressure on his effort. #WWFC

Toti on for Arias. Wolves now basically playing with 4 centre-backs and 2 defensive wing-backs! #WWFC

5 minutes to be added at the end of this game. Wolves so close to a huge win. Toti coming on. #WWFC

Latest Wolves change with 7 minutes remaining. Arokodare for Strand Larsen. #WWFC
stevemadeley78.bsky.social
Big save from Vicario to keep out a Hugo Bueno shot after a good Wolves counter-attack. 15 minutes left. #WWFC
stevemadeley78.bsky.social
Should point out that Gomes was on a booking and giving a typically dogged display in midfield, so from that point of view taking him off does make some sense. #WWFC

Another Wolves change as Joao Gomes is replaced by Bellegarde. That seems an odd one. Gomes certainly seems to think so. He's not impressed! #WWFC
