Some words and analysis here on Matt Jackson becoming Wolves' technical director. He's taken on quite a job!

FULL-TIME
WOLVES 0-2 PALACE
Hard to know whether to be encouraged or not. On one hand there was much more intensity and purpose about Wolves. But despite that they still lost and rarely looked like coming back once they were behind. And in a way that makes the defeat even more demoralising. #WWFC

Should've said on the left, obviously! #WWFC
Chance for Wolves as Hwang sets Moller Wolfe away on the right and he pulls the ball to the near post but Arias gets his shot all wrong with Strand Larsen probably better placed behind him. #WWFC

Arias on for Krejki as Wolves switch to 4-3-3. #WWFC

Hwang's pass towards Strand Larsen is cut out, a couple of passes later it's at the feet of Pinot and he bends a fine shot into the top corner. Wolves had built up a bit of momentum but it's vanished in a few minutes. #WWFC
0-2. Superb strike by Pinot probably kills off Wolves, who have done plenty right in the 2nd half. #WWFC

Double change for Wolves. Hwang and Bellegarde on for Arokodare and Munetsi. #WWFC

Goal given after a long VAR check. Not sure why that took so long. #WWFC
Corner comes in, Wharton's shot takes a deflection and falls to Munoz, who stabs home. Johnstone had no chance. VAR checking for possible offside. #WWFC

It's been all Wolves for the last 5 minutes but a huge chance has just gone begging for Palace. Sarr, over the bar from a left-wing pull-back. #WWFC

Two big openings for Wolves in the opening minutes of the 2nd half. First Arokodare tried to pass to Munetsi when he should probably have had a shot. Cut out. Then Munetsi fired over after a corner dropped for him. #WWFC

HALF-TIME
WOLVES 0-0 PALACE
Some positives for Rob Edwards in his first 45 minutes, most notably the intensity levels and desire to defend have clearly increased.
But there is still a painful lack of quality in key moments. Still, he will take the little wins where he can get them. #WWFC

Bit of controversy as Wolves hammer the ball forward and Strand Larsen goes through on goal but is pulled up for a foul on Lacroix. Replay suggests it probably was a push but in the age of VAR, surely Anthony Taylor has to give Strand Larsen the chance to finish and then blow the whistle. #WWFC
November 22, 2025 at 3:29 PM
Close for Wolves as Joao Gomes's free-kick deflects off Wharton, Henderson can only parry but the rebound gets to Krejki too quickly and he sends it over. #WWFC

Huge chance for Palace as the ball goes over the top, Krejki tries to cut it out but fails and leaves a big hole for Mateta to run into. He's one-on-one with Johnstone but fires wide. Big let-off for Wolves #WWFC

Ref has given a free-kick for a foul but Moller Wolfe on Sarr but VAR is checking to see whether it's a penalty. It was close but looks like the original decision stands. #WWFC

Strand Larsen turns on the edge of the box and fires a shot that doesn't go too far wide. Pretty cagey start but I'd say Wolves have edged it. #WWFC

There's been no official announcement (at least not one I'm aware of) but Paul Trollope is on the Wolves bench alongside Rob Edwards and Harry Watling. #WWFC

Teams out at Molineux. Rob Edwards has been announced to the crowd. And Hi Ho Silver Lining is back as the pre-match song. And the ground is suddenly really loud. It was never rocket science, was it?! #WWFC

Right, let's see what Rob Edwards can do with this lot... Molineux looking damp and feeling cold but if Wolves are to ignite any faint hopes of survival you feel there has to be a dramatic new-manager bounce, starting now. #WWFC

Rob Edwards knows Middlesbrough fans will feel "let down" but he says he could not live with the regret of turning down Wolves. @theathleticfc.bsky.social #WWFC
