I’m getting scam emails from people who tell me how much they loved reading A Murder of Crows and I should pay them to to do promotion. Weird how it only came out today.
In other news, A Murder of Crows is out today. You should buy it. The bots say it’s great.
Was looking forward to a productive day of writing, and then I scolded my hands with boiling hot water after buying a coffee and the lid came off. I'm fine, just not really feeling the enthusiasm to work right now.

If you’ve read my work and what you’ve taken away from those books is that I would in any way, shape, or form support fascism, you need to work on your reading comprehension.

Had plantain for the first time today. Tastes like a slightly sweet roast potato, looks like a banana. Very tasty.

Woke up to see Trump is now mocking the sacrifice of UK troops in Afghanistan. A man who dodged the draft doesn’t get to say a damn thing about anyone serving. Every single person who served there has more integrity in one finger than Trump has in his entire cowardly, disgusting body.

Sinners has better win some of those Oscar nominations, it was a great film.

It’s not a bad thing when the most negative thing about your newly release book is that 100,000 words is “too short”.

As an author with a new book out (A Murder of Crows, out now, buy it). It’s really hard to need to promote my work while watching people try to burn the world down for their own ego.

Occasionally, I get messages from Americans asking me about the book in which I killed off their president by having him eaten and replaced by a monster.
The number of messages has increased.
I’m sure that’s a pure coincidence.

A Murder of Crows Out Now

The title pretty much says it all. A Murder of Crows, the 5th and final Riftborn book, is out today.

Something everyone under 40 should know about being over 40. Sometimes you’ll do something you’ve done a million times and for some reason, this time it’ll hurt. It’s a really fun time.

Unsolicited writing advice of the day:

If you want to be an author, you have to actually write something.

HEAT is on. A masterclass of a film that never gets old.

I see it’s that time of the month when everyone starts asking when certain authors are going to release books that are way overdue (in their opinion). The answer is never. It’s never happening, read something else.

Wrote 20k this week. Not bad at all.

All 3 of the Assembly books currently out. 1. Those Who Dwell in Darkness. 2. A Deliberate Act of Violence. 3. The Pilgrims of the Damned. Vampires, monsters, and a really big dog.

I find it amazing how a certain group of people want to paint London as a lawless hellhole and everything about the city in reality shows the exact opposite.

The Welcome to Derry episode “The Black Spot” is heartbreaking and horrifying. There’s a lot of horrible stuff in the previous episodes, but that’s another level.

People complaining that my newer books have political stances seem to have forgotten that every book I’ve ever written have been anti-fascist, anti-authoritarian, and anti-oligarchy.
Who did you think Nate and friends were fighting against in the Hellequin stories?

First full week back of writing since before Christmas and I did 15000 words. Not bad at all.

When I was at school we learned about the rise and fall of Nazi Germany, and one question that was brought up was “didn’t people stand up against them?” And a lot of them did, but it turns out that some people really like the taste of fascist boot leather.
Just thought about that, for no reason.

There are a lot of awful people in the world and many of them like to tell everyone else how awful they are.
Just so you know, if you’re using laugh reactions on news articles about what happened in Minneapolis, you’re one of the awful ones.
