We don't give ourselves enough credit. We definitely don't give ourselves enough grace.
We need to keep going, but it's okay to stop once in a while and acknowledge how fucking insane most of this is.

Whether you're gathering with friends and family, hosting or traveling, in a room full of people, or spending the day with yourself, I hope you have the day you need.

"Christmas Trends of 2025!"
Yeah, fuck that.
Don't let anyone tell you how to decorate for your holidays. Stylists are pushing consumerism, not preserving memories. Reuse the well-loved decor that speaks to your heart, and your memories.
Christmas doesn't go out of style. If you love it, use it.

Brilliant!
Fuck ICE. Fuck Home Depot.
In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

MICHELLE OBAMA, on whether a woman can get elected president:

“.. sadly, we ain’t ready. That’s why I’m like: don’t even look at me about running ‘cause you all are lying. You’re not ready for a woman. We got a lot of growing up to do ..”

Whatever.

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

anyway if dems think I'm gonna forget this shit in 5 months, they're wrong. if they think I'm gonna forget it in 5 years, they're wrong. they have fully convinced me that purging the party of these inept losers in the senate is more important than retaking the senate in the next election cycle

Still one of my favorite pictures. The photo is upside down. The "stars" in the sky are actually leaves on the water's surface.
Taken 2 years ago, yesterday.

I've had to disconnect from several people for this reason.
The most dangerous people you can be spending time around at this point, are those who say, "I'll never quit fighting," but then, the moment something "bad" happens...instantly step into, "OMG. We're f*cked. It's all over." These people are like poison to your mind and emotions. Stay away.

Part of what is going on here isn't just inflicting hunger, it's inflicting humiliation. Human beings should be able to feed themselves and their families with dignity.

The sadism is the point.
Here in Atlanta yesterday, more than 2,000 people waited in their cars—one woman for 14 hours—for a box of food. The giveaway ended early; there wasn't enough to go around.

Multiply this scene by countless others across the country, and you get a sense of how crushing the desperation is right now.

I bought enough candy for 350 trick-or-treaters. Because of the rain, I only had 278, which means at 9 o'clock, on Friday night, I still had enough candy for 72 kids.

It's now, Sunday, 5:30 pm.

The bowl is almost empty.
