After 3 decades in tech, I’ve learned: tools change every year, but human resistance changes never.
Many thanks to @IndivisibleWeston for its amazing forum w/ Holy Cross president Vincent Rougeau & Boston College Law professor Kent Greenfield.

My takeaway: we must amplify our loud societal noises if we want to stop the Supreme Court and Congress from empowering and enriching our leaders. #resist

I’m not going to take the turkey out of the freezer until it’s defrosted.
Mike Johnson says he will not bring the House back in session until the government reopens
This is how the next generation becomes radicalized. At least, I supposed, in this case it will be to restore America rather than to tear it down.
Let’s bring it all the way home: not abstract “people” but up-close-and-personal “we”! WE deserve better. And WE are fighting for “better” every day. #resist
The Trump Administration's shutdown isn’t a game – it’s affecting the livelihoods of real people here in Massachusetts. People deserve better from their government.
More self-serving GOP prattle … e.g., nothing about the decision not to use the reserve SNAP funds, just “it’s the Senate’s fault” and another call to change the rules to they can get away with their heist of our democracy

An estimated 15.7 million workers use SNAP. It’s a lifeline for those in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

We the people would love to, but Congress and the courts are the ones who need to actually do it. But the House is not even in session and the Supreme Court is seemingly deep in Trump‘s pocket, so we clearly have a problem.
From health care to groceries to housing – the cost just to live is rising fast. But Trump is focused on ballrooms, billionaire tax cuts, and bailouts of foreign dictators. Let’s bring down these costs, starting by reversing disastrous policies that spike the cost of health care.
If only there were some mechanism in place to enforce our laws ... #RESIST
Thanks to Trump, 42 MILLION Americans will miss out on food assistance funds starting November 1.

Congress has already passed a law that SNAP benefits should not be interrupted. The money is there. Donald Trump is trying to use hungry kids and veterans for political leverage.
And it’s up to us - and our so-called representatives in Congress - to make sure he abides by it.
Amen, Senator. Amen.
The last US-Russian arms control treaty expires in just 100 days. Yet, as the excellent ‘House of Dynamite’ makes clear, arms reductions buy us better protection than unreliable missile defenses. As I write on @msnbc.com, “The real answer is not more technology, but fewer weapons.”
To be fair, it was a long game. He may have had 3 when he first got there.
