For awhile you could get these for $35 on sale before the inflation and tariff nightmare. They are just a cheaper controller than a PS5 one for better and for worse. I actually prefer the AA batteries to built in. I do agree with you though that there are better options out there

You get more than enough information out of this interview to know if you agree or disagree with him. I thought the best rebuke of him was at the end when he said you are a small but passionate sect and your desire to move fast and assert yourself is going to doom your movement. That’s toasting
By and large I think he’s doing a fine job on that show - he is very experienced and intelligent. He is doing these shows to surface arguments most are unaware of and in this guy’s case there’s no need to grill him. A movie doesn’t need to have the bad guy wear a costume that says “villain” on it.
@edzitron.com do you have a recommendation for a piece that goes deep on why GPUs are preferred for this kind of software? Is there an opportunity to make a more optimized chip for these applications in the way bitcoin mining now has specific hardware instead of GPU?
All the hits were on never mind but in utero is basically a perfect album. All apologies is a perfect nirvana song. When I am reflecting on how they are the best rock band of all time I think of in utero first. Are there other rock bands you like better than nirvana?
I think the belief in things like this is almost intractable from the human experience - unfortunately in this world we will all know so little about so many things that we will have to trust somebody to act in our best interest. Some people use that trust and sell insane stuff to rip people off
