Retired international minigolfer, likes the odd beer, cheese, exploring, cheese, lists, cheese, old football shirts and cheese. And cheese. And just started parkruns with a cheese chaser.

It's just a live action Black Mirror episode now.
Managed my 4th straight sub 32:30 parkrun, this time at Ferry Meadows in Peterborough. It's busy there so takes about 4-5 minutes to get into a rhythm. Course is beautiful and very well organised. Hard to judge where the finish is so may have saved a little bit for the end too early.

With the rain that we've had, Huntingdon might be a little slippery tomorrow so going to give the Ferry Meadows parkrun in Peterborough a go.

Andrew will also be known as TAFKAP. The abuser formerly known as Prince.
I don't decorate at mine because I'm not at home during the Christmas period, I stay with my dad for about 9 or 10 days and as I live alone, I'll help dad with his.
Even now, seven years after my mum died, our family won't put anything up until the 10th at the earliest.
And the the Easter Eggs are out Boxing Day...
One of the neighbours has got their Christmas decorations up already.

The rule is not until the first dart at the World Darts Championships is thrown.

The earliest we ever did was December 10th as mum's birthday was the 9th.

Calm your tits, people.
This racist bitch can get in the fucking sea.
Reform UK MP Sarah Pochin, “It drives me mad seeing adverts full of black people, full of Asian people, full of anything other than white"

Followed by that time Sarah Pochin said, "My kids say: mum, you're such a moron" 👀
Even 10.92 seems a touch high.

One of the big benefits of parkruns is that I've seen more friends in the last three months than I probably have in three years.

I really feel I'm achieving something, for way more than trying to get a little bit fitter.

Little crowded at the start but levels out after 2-3 minutes. Great to meet up with someone I haven't seen for about 9 years. Got a PB by just 2 seconds. Good mornings work all round.
Shoreham parkrun for the morning, then a quick walk round to see where I lived from 1976 to 1982.

You blink and all of a sudden, 43 years have passed.
The parents had a choice to make.
You're in a lovely part of the country.

My main run so far is Huntingdon, which is nice. I did one a couple of weeks back in Northstowe during the weekend of the high winds, felt I achieved something that day. The people running Huntingdon make it worth it.
I'm visiting my dad on the Sussex coast, currently Worthing and Shoreham are probably ideal. The second half of Lancing would be directly into it. I'm based in Cambridgeshire normally. Whereabouts are your local runs?

remember when .... they knew what was coming but did nothing to stop it
Having finished one project last night, time to start the next one of a parkrun journal while it's still relatively fresh in the memory.

"And you may ask yourself, well, how did I get here?"

Thanks, David Byrne. I'll take it from here.
Whatever dumb shit I may have done in my life, at least I was never at this level.

Life is good.
As I'm new to parkrun, does anyone look ahead to the weather for Saturday, see a stiff breeze and try and pick a run where the second half is in your favour? I mean, my body is still doing most of the shift.
Finally got around to seeing the Ozzy Osbourne documentary. Meant so much to so many.
