Said raccoon-thing just tilted their head at her and then made a noise before running off with the intent on infecting more prey discreetly.

Meanwhile the main body of the alien had regrown the arm that had detached and she then speaks up at last.

The alien eventually had reformed into their humanoid shape accompanied with the sounds of bones crunching and squelches.

Looking like an ordinary human girl with brown hair and she looked to him, her posture that of a cornered animal.

It's desperate cries slowly became alien-like as it's cells were taken over by the alien that devoured it and then the limb transformed into a perfect replica of the raccoon.

The alien then would let a arm of hers detach from her body and it grew centipede-like legs with the end of it becoming a circular mouth with sharp teeth.

Having detected food as said piece of the alien pounced on a unsuspecting raccoon, the creature fighting for it's life but then. . .

The alien organism has been triggered by the mention of said words along with the way the admiral's boys are dressed.

Reminding them of the events at Antartica. . .

Whatever's left reformed into much more of the alien, The admiral could perhaps do something to calm the alien?

Direct skin contact alone is when it's already too late as the Thing's cells assimilate the cells of other life forms.
