Another tick off my bucket list! Dawn at Avebury today. It couldn't have been more beautiful and special with the sky and the mist. Amazing experience.

I'd never go for a peaceful walk to a hillfort on a Tuesday because they must all be being buzzed by drones making videos for #HillfortsWednesday.

A clip of Longcroft for #HillfortsWednesday - a complex hillfort to the east of #Oxton in the #ScottishBorders. It had 3 periods of construction that have created four ramparts with intermediate ditches. The traces of several round houses can also be seen.

A glorious, warm day at Avebury today! Especially after the strong winds on Saturday 😂

The Gogar Stone in Edinburgh. Not the biggest stone but close enough to my work to make it a lunchtime megalith, and i was grinning like an idiot on the way back to work at the thought of that 😀 #StandingStoneSunday @stoneclub.bsky.social @megalithic.bsky.social

Made at sites of ancient stones, upon hillforts and in the depths of a fogou. Megalithic Moog is an album crafted using a 1974 Moog Prodigy and the land itself. Melodies from leylines, beats from boulders, songs from stones.

We stood and pondered on the stones, whose plan displays their pattern still; the small blunt arc, and, sill by sill, the pockets stripped of shards and bones.
The legend has it, Ossian lies
beneath this landmark on the hill
