• His father was a a different story in general. He definitely mourns the father and son relationship that he was never able to experience as a kid however he genuinely doesn’t care about Neil in the slightest.

• And would usually disassociate anytime he was around him.

• Xander was definitely a mama’s boy growing up, and was crushed when she left. He was 11 years old but he remembers the day vividly.

• He has mix feelings about it. On one hand he understands why she left but on the other he didn’t know why she didn’t take them with her.

• Always getting into some sort of trouble. Ricky was even the one to help him get his bike.

• A little bit after the Starcourt Mall incident, Xander and Neil get into an altercation which results in Xander threatening his father.

• That was the last encounter he had of him before moving out and Neil vanishing from the town.

• Three in which happened in California before the move and the other in Hawkins however the former never was put on his file thanks to a certain sheriff.

• He started learning to play the drums when he was eight years old. He genuinely enjoys doing in his spare time.

• When the Starcourt Mall was still up, Xander worked at the Waldenbooks before shit went down.

• During this time he’s quite distant towards his family and friends who aren’t aware of the upside down and is trying to keep what he knows a secret.

•Diagnosed with IED. Tends to have violent outbursts when he’s over stimulated and triggered. Though his anger is more self destructive. Punching holes in walls, throwing things, etc.

However if provoked and his siblings or loved ones are in danger he will get physical.

• Xander is secretly a big abba fan.

It was something that reminds him of his mother who would always be playing one of their songs.

He tries to support them no matter what, right or wrong. Especially his brother. He was even deemed with the nickname ‘Billy’s Guard Dog’ in high school.

Later in life he ends up opening a shop called NewbysRadio with the hush money he received so he could honor Bob and his dream.
