Part man, part bear, part rock. Writer of spooky things. Maker of bad jokes. Movie buff.
According to my KDP stats, someone is 81 pages into reading Hollow Wraiths. That poor, neglected book. I hope the reader enjoys slimy ghost nonsense.

Controversial opinion but I don’t like Pagan versions of Christmas songs. It feels forced to me. Plus I, as someone raised (neo)Anabaptist in a German American household, love old-timey Christmas music as is.

All I want for Christmas is to get someone to draw the Whopperjaw for me.

Casual reminder that today is the LAST DAY to take advantage of this bundle. It's like getting three courses for the price of two. And? They're yours for life, ACCESSIBLE, self-paced but with as much (or as little!) support as you need.

If it feels like something's missing from your witchcraft practice, that missing piece is nearly always spirit work and personal relationships with spirits.

Begin your journey into the world of spirits with this 3 course bundle on spirit communication, ancestor veneration, and warding.

Going through family history on the ancestry website again. Some of my Ontario family is a dead end, but through the maternal lines there’s lots of quebecois going back a few hundred years. Proof my love of cheese fries and maple syrup is genetic.

Doing window displays for fancy department stores must be one of the funnest jobs in the world.

Although I prefer the IT miniseries to the movies, I’ve really been enjoying Welcome to Derry.

I hate generation discourse, but I really do think millennials lost something special when hipsters died. There was a lot of great creativity and earnestness that was truly unique that’s nowhere to be found now.

Sharing this yet again. I appreciate the kindness and support. Mom is still dealing with her post surgery issues. I’m trying to keep us both afloat and hard when I’m disabled.
I hate doing this online but I’m in a tough position. Me and my mother are both disabled and currently homeless, living out of a cheap hotel until we can get back on our feet. Staying here has eaten up all my savings. If you’d like to help, my PayPal is @ josmeeks. Anything is appreciated.

My brain: “bad things will happen if you break routine. You’re probably dying. You should be afraid of relaxing. No now actually likes you they’re just lying.”
Also my brain: “lol Jodie Foster Wallace.”

Got a lecture from my sister about how my homelessness bothers her and it’s, quote, “ratchet.”
I’m sorry. I’ll try not to do it again, I guess.

Someone sued their room, checked out, and left their dog behind on purpose. 😢 animal control was called to take him to a shelter. Some people suck so bad.

Mom hasn’t heard back from the judge about her unemployment yet. Storage is due soon and I have only enough for three more days here. Trying not to freak out.

Not feeling good today so I’ve been playing around some more on that ancestry site. On mom’s side I have a multi great grandma who was born in Hartford, Connecticut during the times of their witch trials, which would be a very stressful time to have a baby.

I was up late with insomnia, mucking about on ancestry sites and fell down a rabbit hole of my dad’s mom’s mom’s family members, tracing them all the way back to 1600s New Netherlands/Dutch New York and New Jersey. Which I think is neat.

This morning I woke up to a terrible, burning plastic/bleach smell that made my lungs burn and tighten. I thought someone was smoking meth or doing a home perm or both. Turns out it’s the hotel heaters.

Sometimes I think about the German Pizza Hut waitress I met ten years ago who I bonded with over our love of German-American midwest history. Hope she’s doing well.
