Really enjoyed listening to this

I used to take starving walks at sunset and plan out the 1k, 5k, 10k words to write that evening. Occurred to me that, in 10 days, Yokota will have died 10 years ago. Starting to think that humans invented units of measurement to determine how much they harvested, and not how much they ought to sow.

Land in the sense of multidimensional travel; once you were there, now you are here, and the distance between the two points can only be crossed in so much time.

The day before, drove to the grocery store at golden hour with my boyfriend and admired the sky, which reminded me that the year before,

Was enjoying the tedium of editing metadata in Zotero, soundtracking it with some Susumu Yokota. Then, struck by the increasingly common existential feeling that comes with aging: looking back and seeing a much larger swath of land than I could have ever surveyed 5, 10, 15 years ago.
