Hey Super Sunday lovers!

I see you, working hard on your scripts, but don’t forget to take care of you.

Sending you simple vibes and a batch of your favourite cookies.

You got this!

FUN FACT! After crunching Beta numbers, we noticed scripts were being claimed, on average, 23 hours after being uploaded!

Considering our 5-day deadline, this means writers were receiving feedback in *less than a week*, which was one of our goals! THANK YOU, PEERS!!! 🏆

We'd also like to give a shout-out to @smarshtastic.bsky.social, who shared feedback on an impressive 11 screenplays, making her the most active reader during the beta! We are gobsmacked! Well done, Sarah, and thank you for being an awesome peer!

As we wind down the Beta, we have stopped accepting new script submissions. Please note that you can continue reviewing scripts to earn tokens. After we launch properly, if your tokens reset, contact us to manually restore your balance to reflect what you had at the end of the beta.

Is it Thanksgiving yet?

...because this year, we are thankful to all the amazing supporters and advisors kicking our butt into shape. Thank you @victoriadecapua.bsky.social for everything you do for and with us!

One month for prep. Write 1 page per day. One month for revisions and editing. Do that and you complete 2 feature length screenplays per year. #screenwriting #scriptsky

When the coffee fuels your veins...
And your fingers are on fire...
All the ideas pour onto the page, good or not.

It’s okay. It's a puke draft. Turn off your inner critic and let the progress happen.

We’ll mop it up later.

Some screenwriting books teach cause and effect stating that “The King died, and then the Queen died” is not a story. But “The King died, and then the Queen died of grief” is. 🧵

Does anyone else think the best analogy for brainstorming a story is Dr. Strange going through 14 million possible futures?

That reminds me. I’m currently on the market for a Time Stone. eBay is all out.

For those dark nights of the soul when we question our sanity, our dreams, the sweat dripping down our faces, and our eyes hazy from 12-hour days. Below is what two of our users are saying about StoryPeer.

Why don't we just try to write a word. One word.

Then another. And another. And another.

It might just be a winning strategy.

Love that last line: “Everybody’s process is their own.”

Peers, be kind to yourselves and embrace your method. ❤️👨🏽‍💻👩‍💻
I've never been a rush-it-out 1st draft writer (unless I'm under deadline). I feel guilty not typing words, but most of the time it lets me think-plot-write, rather than write-rewrite-toss-replot-rewrite etc... Everybody's process is their own. #scriptsky #writersky

#StoryPeerTips: Don't forget the communication window is limited between readers and writers.

Writers, you have the final opportunity to say hello and share your info when you rate your reader.

If you enjoyed the feedback, you may wanna share your email address. But please, be judicious!

#StoryPeerTips: If you had to list the genre of your submitted script as "other", use the Additional Notes section to clarify what it is.

Not only this helps Readers choose, but it will also let us know which genre we forgot to include. If we see too many of those, we can update our system! 🫶

1/3 Dialogue tip: When writing a scene, don't forget your characters have lived with themselves their whole lives. This means they can (and should) surprise you with their deep-rooted perspectives, giving you aggression or poetry when you least expect. #scriptsky #screenwriting #writingtips

Truth!
Writers should never blame readers for misunderstanding the work. We can't change the readers; we can only change the words.

Golden advice right here! #scriptsky
A snippet from @filamcreatorcon.bsky.social 2025 at the Chula Vista Public Library. I was asked, “What advice I have for aspiring writers?” So I gave the same advice I got as an aspiring writer at 17 from screenwriter and author @straczynski.bsky.social.

We couldn’t agree more! #scriptsky
The secret to finding your writing peers isn't waiting to be discovered—it's becoming an active discoverer. Ask what others are working on. Request to read their scripts. Offer specific, thoughtful feedback. Building your pack requires intention, not luck.
