I knew someone with a garden so I gave them the seeds so it would be their responsibility. It wasn’t visible to others yet but I was a weirdly anxious kid and being gifted seeds was too heavy a burden

I remember once for indigenous peoples day (at least I’m assuming that’s what this was?) we had an assembly where some indigenous people gave us seeds for The Three Sisters (corn, beans, and squash) and I remember it stressing me out. Like “man. I don’t know how to grow squash.”
