authority over *their* work? As an author myself, it kind of hurts to hear such things... Sometimes it's valid but when the boundaries are so basic, why? It's the author's work why are *you* taking away their control over something they worked so hard on!?

To be honest whenever authors try to create boundaries around their work, I find it kind of dehumanizing when people claim that the author's words don't matter and it's up to the reader's interpretation... That author literally put their heart and soul into that and then readers believe they have
