Terra Branford [2019-2022]

2019 was around the time I started putting in more frequent drawing practice than I was able to before since graduating many years prior. I consider this era my starting over point and began studying composition and figure drawing again. So here’s a Terra from each year 😆

2019 - I wanted to come up with a Japanese-themed Terra and tbh I still like parts of this concept. Maybe I’ll come back to it for 2025 🤔

2020 - I did come back to it the very next year 😂 Okay this pose I still like very much.

2021 - I don’t like this. But hey, I’m sharing here anyways even though it makes me 🫣 because I tried a lot of new technical things I wasn’t used to doing before. There are just too many issues that stick out to me D:

2022 - It all comes together when I completed this Terra. I still am very happy about this piece. There are small things I will touch up for the next printing of this but overall I achieved the feeling I wanted to here.

Yes the timeskip could have made up a few episodes by itself. It felt very abrupt to me atleast after that buildup.

I feel like her usual intelligence was compromised by her mother's death aswell as the pressure of leadership and hate for Jinx. It ofcourse wouldnt last but could have a bit more imo

It's almost like Gazlowe or a new Goblin character could have replaced one of the Alliance characters to help set it up

But idk, having TWO horde characters present at the launch would probably have caused a meltdown in some online Alliance circles
