TIL Bayer lost the trademark for Heroin under the Treaty of Versailles as part of Germany's war reparations.
Also that Bayer had to supply a quarter of all the aspirin it produced to the allies.

I was doing 100 other things dudring this event (just out of frame to the left!), but I did manage to make edits to one page as a part of the edit-a-thon!
On Monday, people from around the world piled into the headquarters of the United Nations in New York City to expand tech policy knowledge on Wikipedia for its first big edit-a-thon.

I miss the experience of wandering the aisles of the video rental store trying to decide what to watch. Scrolling lists of what's streaming just isn't the same.
