What does the future hold for this #rhino calf? This baby should grow up wild & free—not be dehorned for safety or slaughtered for a myth to feed demand in #China & #Vietnam. A future without fear & death by #poachers is possible. When the buying stops, the killing can too....

Today is #IntlCheetahDay there are approx 7k in the wild & according to the IUCN cheetahs are “vulnerable” & at risk of extinction in the wild!
Since 1900, the wild population has decreased by over 90%! Their main threats to survival are: Habitat loss, HWC & the illegal pet trade.
'Climate-induced poisoning’: 350 elephants probably killed by toxic water caused by algal blooms in Botswana in 2020. Globally, this event underscores the alarming trend of sudden, climate-induced diseases.

Imagine a world where these majestic creatures no longer roam the earth. It's a bleak reality that we're rapidly approaching, as #rhino populations continue to decline due to #poaching & habitat loss😔 Don't let #rhinos become dinos!

A #rhino is a work of art, crafted by nature's skilled hands. Their armour-plated hides, a testament to resilience. Their horns, a crown of majesty. Their gentle eyes, a window to their souls. We must protect these masterpieces at all costs! #HandOffOurRhinos!

For relocated former Pretoria Zoo elephant Charley, now renamed Duma, life at a Vaalwater reserve is good. He is communicating with the other elephants over long distances and they are slowly getting to know each other.
