Our final word: A season that started under embargo with ownership in flux; a mid-season flirt with relegation; sneaking into the top 7 = just short of promotion after three ETs in front of nearly 30k Shrimpers. Disappointed? Of course. Proud? Damn right we are... #SUFCexiles
Our final word: Under the cosh at HT, Southend responded with the first blow, Spasov showing once more that he carries a poachers threat. But Maher's men found FGR's response too hot to handle. Taylor will return but Dallas may be out and Blues remain off the pace... #SUFCexiles

Gubbins Watch: Better control from Southend but Dallas limped off. GSM curled towards goal and Spasov finished at close range. Slavi almost got another on the break but the hosts quality led to an equaliser and a quick second from distance in minutes. Blues lose 2-1. #SUFCexiles

Our final word: Few NL wins are as routine as Blues today. Southend rarely got out of second gear - nor did they need to. A welcome canter to victory that does little to prepare Maher's men for two tough road trips, the first of which will be without Harry Taylor... #SUFCexiles
