Since Final Fantasy Tactics is the hotness in games news again, I must mention that Final Fantasy Tactics Advance opens with a snowball fight to teach you the mechanics and I am here to say that should be a whole game and why isn't there a wildly popular snowball fight game?

They are weak and cowards who deserve their fate. As the saying goes, "Run removal or countermagic if certain things in your cedh game make you frustrated or mad cuz the game is playing to win at any cost so just deal with it, brah" I'm pretty sure that's how it goes

Hey! Are you looking for a fantastic, utterly unique horror game to play/stream this spooky season? Subway Midnight is $3 right now on Steam for the next 16ish hours and is one of the most creative and interesting short horror games I've ever played. Excellent for an evening of gratifying horrors!

Definitely check the dosage, I've seen them vary between 5mg - 50mg in a single can, lol. Had a 25mg (half thc, half cbd) can as one of my first and it absolutely flattened me, haha.

Surprised you weren't aware, it's kinda famous! Also one of the best villain final showdowns, lol

If I was in your stream last night I would've told you to just finish it, I went back and watched bits of your stream, you're not close to the end, you're at the end, like <15 mins, lol. If you're eager to finish and are thinking about it a lot, might as well wrap up!

Oh man I really enjoyed Indika! Just kinda sad about how short it was, I don't mind a short game, but I felt like I wanted maybe an hour or two more in middle (arguably a good thing wanting more, lol), just barely over 4 hours and I was even detouring to see as much as possible. But yeah, loved it!

I watch a ton and would have a lot of suggestions, but would depend heavily on what you might like! Without any other information to go on, The Ritual on netflix is one of my all time unknown favorites

Terrifier is certainly the slasher villain of todays audience. I actually kinda like them, I think they're funny over the top violent, but if you want a bit more plot to your senseless excessive violence Terrifier might not be for you X3 It's pretty straightforward lots-of-murder without much else

Halloween, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street are all memorable movies in their own right, many of the sequels don't hold up, but most of the originals still are good! Halloween in particular is still a classic that holds up today, which the others can still come across as a bit cheesy X3

Liked Black Phone, Owl House and Over the Garden Wall are some of my favorite animated seasonal shows for sure, haha
sugarboy.bsky.social
honestly this is kindof the suggestion I'm looking for XD, like pretty mid but interesting enough franchises that have some redeeming qualities to watch most of them. Yeah maybe they're not the best but apparently good enough to get as many sequels as it got XD

I'm just like yeah, maybe the games great, and that's fantastic and all, but if it's not "Silent Hill", the town, there are ways to keep it similar to the franchise without specifically naming it after the exact franchise name. It's a "Silent Hill Story" instead of Silent Hill (next mainline game)

Anyone have any particular movie plans for the Halloween season? Old or new are acceptable, haha

Like if your game IP was named Los Angeles and the first 4 games took place in or adjacent to Los Angeles and then a new game came out and it was in London that's like...huh? what? why? it's pretty hard to reconcile besides the obvious 'we can use the property name to sell more copies' X3
sugarboy.bsky.social
I guess mostly I'd care less if they followed the Star Wars format and made it New Name: A Silent Hill Story instead. Again, I really don't usually care that strongly about lore, it's just that the name of this game series is a specific town so it's kinda hard to avoid XD
sugarboy.bsky.social
but the games and movies that exist are pretty explicit that it's a town in Maine, not subtly. And again I wouldn't care if it took place somewhere else cuz it barely seems to matter, but the existing games and such really do seem to care that it's in US, Maine. I don't know why, just my observation
sugarboy.bsky.social
I am not saying the game is or should be bad in any way, it might be fantastic. My only complaint is that Silent Hill was established as a real life location so if a game wants to be a Silent Hill game it should take place there, that's kinda important, the location is largely magical, importantly
sugarboy.bsky.social
my main problem is they have the IP. If it was a new studio making a new game as spiritual successor to Silent Hill I'd have said nothing. They are only using it to sell the game, it could have been a wholly new IP, new horror game in another setting, taking place in Japan, but they just named it SH
sugarboy.bsky.social
Basically, go the Star Wars route if you must. "Something Something f: A Silent Hill Story". But it's not Silent Hill, it's just using the name for promotion and built in audience
sugarboy.bsky.social
It might match in theme and symbolism and all that, but if it's not in Silent Hill, it just feels like they wanted to make a horror game in another setting but couldn't justify it without a popular IP name attached, which feels scummy. If it's not Silent Hill (Maine, US) it's just using the IP name
sugarboy.bsky.social
So that makes sense, but only if the literal name of the game was not referring to specific location. The series set Silent Hill as a town in Maine, so setting it somewhere else feels weird to me. Again, I'm usually not adhered to weird lore bits, but it's the name of the game and the location XD
sugarboy.bsky.social
So I have tried to avoid info about Silent Hill f as I can, but I want to play it, and I usually don't worry about lore accuracy or whatever, but my understanding was Silent Hill was a specific location, so why is this in Japan? It's sorta harder to get over that bit when it's the name of the game
