At this point I am really sick of explaining graphics team why they need to avoid using transparency if possible and why they absolutely should never use it on complex models, where there is a chance of faces in the back to be rendered after ones in the front. 😫

Having a highly autistic programmer in charge of our builds that already years ago did some magic that command line parameters are stripped entirely and not passed further down the line. Which annoyed me cause I wanted to use them to simplify debugging issues with release builds.

In terms of graphics - MJ12 lab is one that bothers me the most. One of UE1's most "in your face" features was its usage of planar reflections. In the build showed off by Aspyr they are gone completely and there is still inconsistency between brushes that are suppose to use the same material type.

Conclusion based on numbers from the last stream - clearly I need to complain about games more often.

But actually, I think it's more of an issue of me not being very energetic and it just so happens that I get more energetic when I complain about things I am passionate about.

I have just rebuild coroutine storage in save system to properly store not only execution stack but also a value stack and I am very happy with myself, cause the save system now handles nested coroutine calls and properly returns to functions which called them 🫡

Unity frame limiter is inaccurate and it's not placebo; it affects games all over - the moment they use this in-built frame limiter, they are at a mercy of the Windows timer resolution (1ms) and they stutter. Special K increases the resolution to 0.5ms so it works better, but still far from ideal.

All I get now is Github Issues and people demanding I fix and update old projects and there is nothing ever to gain from it, nothing to share to be proud of. And the projects I am having fun working on - nobody cares about those. This is just not fun. 😫
