Picked up a NatGeo Kids for the younger one at the supermarket this morning (a jlt gift because I refuse to do Children's Day gifts) and now he's going on about sea creatures and wow the deja vu.

Side-eyeing the teen for daring to grow up on me.

The boys don't often agree to learn things from me and I am not often a patient teacher, especially in the kitchen. So I'm really happy with these recent episodes. Hopefully it'll encourage us all to do more.

Last night in between work calls I taught the older kid how to make a simple white sauce with mushrooms for pasta, and he packed it for school lunch the next day. He burnt the first batch of roux but the next round was quite good.

This evening I guided the younger one through making buttermilk

Two months of washing and moisturizing my face nightly and my aunt is saying I'm getting prettier 😅

I'm more excited about my hair finally reaching hairstick length. Can put it all up and ignore it, phew. At least now I know cutting it all off no longer suits me!

Our school took us on a field trip to some auditorium and she was filming there. So we all got autographs and that wee kiddo was really sweet about it too. I think it was in '93 or so.
