Naraka Chaturdashi is the second day of Diwali. Chaturdashi means fourteenth and marks the end of the demon Narakasura.

People celebrate this day to rid themselves of evil, negativities, laziness, and evil.

The first day of Diwali is called Dhanvantari Triyodashi or Dhanteras. 'Dhan' meaning wealth and 'Teras' means thirteen.

On this day, people purchase utensils and jewellery to bring good luck.
