Had another attend-compulsory-school-as-adult-because-administrative-error-dream but this time it was the last day of class so I was super relieved. Walked home with some school friends my brain made up, after basking in the idea of not having to do this shit anymore

Great to see the Nichijou absurdity is absolutely still there, but it feels markedly different with a greater focus on characters, the surprising&spontaneous ways their daily lives intersect, playing with tone, playing with narrative structure, etc.!

Still really really good and fun, rolling with top notch animation!! As we get to see more of the characters, it's really nice to see that these guys, as tropey as they are, look at each other as humans and act accordingly, putting empathy first

I'm guessing the first stage of enjoying hot chocolate is like 10-15 minutes of holding a hot cup and enjoying a nice smell with tiny sips until it cools down enough to Actually drink, which doesn't align with my expectation of "oh it's ready drink Now"
