We're Dewey and Rocky. A couple of dachshunds living in the PNW. We love naps, snacks and the fireplace. This account will be mostly pics of us 🐶 & stories about other animals and nature. No news or politics. Just a "pawsitive" experience.

Because we're doxies, we naturally assume everyone is interested in us. We base this on the reaction we get whenever we go ANYWHERE. All we hear is "Look at the wienies" or "they're so cute."

Researchers set up cameras in the rainforest in Guatemala to see how wildlife was doing in a place where logging and hunting was taking place. To their surprise, it's mostly thriving.

Today's #goodnews is about flamingos-the real kind. Not the plastic ones people put in their yard.

Flamingos only lay 1 egg a year, which is why their numbers dwindle when weather and other things interfere with their nesting. But things seem to be turning around for them in Florida. 😊

Poor girl! I'm toothless and have had that done so know how painful it is. My advice? Sleep lots and give sad eyes so you get lots of extra treats and special soft food. Send you lots of healing vibes.
