It's also considering the fact that she does nothing for most of her appearances in these games. More importantly do people genuinely like Lillith. Cause I know they keep mournful referencing scooter but nobody cared about that so I can't tell if I or Gearbox is alienated from public perception.

Would really like to play as Vex and Rafa but then I would have to slog through this again and I just can't do it. Also the games idolization of Lillith is really funny considering her post BL1 fight record is like 2-2, and that's if I count her sucker punching Jack at the end of Pre Sequel.

Back to Borderlands 4 I think this is easily the worst in the series which is a damn shame because like 60%+ of why I feel that way is the result of someone uttering the words "open world" and it's why I don't see myself playing it again even though I like a lot of the Vault Hunter themes.

This has reminded me of the Sir Alonne fight where I was treated to the experience of what it feels like to play online with 700 ping. Just teleporting me 15 feet so he can live out his eastern larp fantasy of doing cool katana moves.

Not nearly in the same ways but it's somewhat reminiscent of Dark Souls 2 in that yeah there's some really cool stuff that shines better than the rest of the series, but actually sitting down and playing it is just a dour experience 90% of the time.

Finished Borderlands 4. After weighing the good (there is some, it's nice but mostly details) and the bad (Foundational stuff that determines how the game is played) I think I can thoroughly and confidently say that is a nuanced topic requiring a lot of thought. Verdict: Poop from a butt.

A seemingly small percentage of this game is actually really good, but it's built on such an obstructive foundation that I just can't really appreciate it. Of course this fascinates me to no end and is the only reason I've played as much as I have.

Picked up Borderlands 4 again. Should not have done that. Doing that after playing games like Pillars of Eternity and Skin Deep is like eating mcdonalds after a month of dieting. This sudden introduction of sludge in my artistic diet is giving me stomach pain.
