Real time examples of how biases create negative impacts on users and cultural biases. This is not a theoretical possibility. These examples are EXACTLY why LLMs that are developed need to be done with many people at the table with extremely diverse backgrounds.

Bias in emotional AI is measurable. #InclusionMatters
Can AI read emotions accurately? Not for everyone. Studies show emotional AI often misinterprets or invalidates cues from non-Western users and marginalized communities. These biases aren't hypothetical—they affect real people in real time. ⬇️ #AIethics #AIBias #TechEquity
Can we license AI like we do therapists?

Therapists connect, empathize, feel. AI predicts, it doesn’t feel, it simulates.

Can we ethically certify AI to support emotional well-being?

Is that still therapy? Let’s have dialogue around these issues.

So tell me:
Where do you stand on this?

Are you hopeful? Hesitant? Somewhere in the messy middle?

Let’s keep the convo going. 👇

One of the latest entries in this space is Therabot—an AI chatbot created to support mental health.

This podcast episode with the developer dives into the potential, the limits, and the ethical questions.

🧠🤖 Therapist or chatbot?
The mental health world is buzzing.

More folks are opening up about AI in therapy—some are curious, others uneasy.

I don’t have all the answers, but I love that we’re finally having the conversation.
This is so fascinating. Thank you for sharing. I am wondering what types of ethical challenges were involved with GenerativeAI.
Let’s keep the pressure on insurance companies while embracing tech thoughtfully. AI in healthcare needs both innovation and integrity.

Big question:
Will AI-driven mental health services even be covered by insurance? Or is this just another way to shift cost and responsibility?
We need ethical AI, yes. But we also need ethical insurance practices. If providers aren’t at the table, AI becomes a tech band-aid over a broken system.
So sure, AI can help fill gaps in access. But why are those gaps there in the first place? And who’s being held accountable for creating them?
This isn't just a therapy issue—it's widespread across healthcare. Doctors, NPs, and mental health providers are pushed out by a system that won’t pay them fairly.
Therapists are leaving insurance panels because reimbursement rates are so low, it’s not even livable. And often, insurers don’t pay after services are provided. 😤
Everyone’s hyped about AI improving access to mental health care—and yes, access matters. But here’s what’s getting left out of the convo… 🧵👇
What’s one thing you want to feel less anxious doing?

👀 I’d love to hear your experience — or share what’s worked for you.
Let’s talk nervous system magic. 💬👇

This is how you teach your body not to panic in those situations anymore.

Not by avoiding the hard stuff…
But by recovering with intention.
That’s where the healing lives.
For example:
You speak up in a meeting → heart races, hands shake.
Then afterward → you take 5 deep breaths or do a grounding walk.
You complete the stress cycle.

Repeat that loop a few times? The anxiety lessens.
When you do something that makes you anxious and then calm your nervous system afterward…

You're not just surviving — you're rewiring.

That pairing tells your brain:
“This isn’t danger. We made it. We’re safe.”
Ever wonder why some anxiety fades over time — while other fears seem stuck on repeat?

Here’s what most people don’t realize about how anxiety actually changes. 🧵
People are turning to AI like ChatGPT for anxiety, depression, and more. AI tools can reduce symptoms and supplement therapy(Zafar et al., 2024).
How do we adapt? What’s our role in shaping this next chapter?
