I used my nebula cloud background, half purple, half brick red as a background. The cover of The Quickening has been centered. The cover has a purple sky that fades into a reddish tint closer to the horizon. Mountains line the background, with jagged rocks and lava. There are spirits being released into the sky and all around where Dahlia, with auburn hair, blue eyes, and freckles, stands above Oscar. She holds his cowboy hat, her other hand cups the back of his head. He’s on his knees before her, one had clasped on her thigh, the other holding her waist. Around the cover, arrows point to the book with a trope descriptor. The tropes read: Multiple love stories, forgiveness, strong family bonds, second chance romance, healing thru bed sports, a haunted house, bi/pan rep, tentacles, bondage, found family, breeding, and exhibitionism. There isn't actually an arrow for the word "tentacle" but a tentacle that I drew in procreate and I'm way too proud of.
