Hamish looks very handsome. But also, not very pleased.

You've caught some beautiful light there. 💚

Absolutely excellent crop of sloes out there this year.
A cluster of fat purple sloes.

Bedraggled but still bright. A good motto for autumn.
A going to seed yellow flower, weather bedraggled but still bright.

Me and boyfriend buried Christmas trees there one year.* I imagine they've been thoroughly assimilated by now.

*In a supervised volunteering way, we didn't just turn up and start burying trees. 😁

It was where I changed trains coming from home from Uni. Brain full of poetry and goth music, sitting there on my rucksack, staring down into the dark underbelly of Manchester. 😂

Yes! Everything local and headed west goes from there. It's the one that looks down on the old BT building (now a posh hotel). In the 90s it was bloody desolate.

I'm on Platform 14 at Manchester Piccadilly. Might just stick The Manics' Holy Bible on, channel my inner 19 year old and have an existential crisis of self. Platform 14 very definitely lends itself to that sort of thing....

Nearly got run over by a mini pavement sweeper before I'd even got to the station this morning, so that's a good start. 😂 Plus point: cute dog waiting for the Euston train. 💚

All those people in Stockport who identify as being in Cheshire. 😁

You can have a civilised post lunch nap. That's a good use of day off time. I'll just be weeping gently into a spreadsheet by 3pm.😁

Good Morning. It's TOO EARLY.

Maybe you could cultivate a bit of rust for the full Gormley effect?

Morning. I'm not enjoying being in the Wednesday Early Morning Insomnia Club, you can have it all to yourself next week. 😁

At night, the shrooms plan world domination. #FungiFriends
Creamy chestnut coloured mushrooms on a moss covered log.

After a glorious summer of light nights and sunsets, Monday Night Headtorch Club is back. 😁 Back to moonlight on the canal and screeching owls. And a bemused late dog walker wondering why three people were clustered round a fallen tree in the dark, muttering (funghi photographry).
A bright moon over the canal. The water is silvery, reflecting the light. The moon is illuminating billowing white cloud.

Always good to have a back up. 😁

Amazing scenes at Kinder Downfall #StormAmy in the #PeakDistrict

Brilliant! 💚 I've seen it go backwards once, it was just fabulous. If a bit blustery.

Insightful film review: One Battle After Another was marvellous fun. Stonking soundtrack. Think Leonardo Dicaprio is moving solidly into his "want too be Jack Nicholson when I grow up" phase now. 🎬🎥

Been up at mum's, sorting through old photos. Look at her, being a massive hussy on a car by the canal. 🤣
A very 1960s black and white photo of a women sat in the bonnet of a 1950s Vauxhall Victor. She's in a tiny mini skirt with her long legs on view.
