Maybe Kemi Badenoch wants to increase pressure on already stretched NHS, because that's what will happen. Flu kills vulnerable people every year, and the NHS is at breaking point. I look forward to Badenoch volunteering, maskless, on a flu ward.
Kemi Badenoch has rejected mask-wearing to curb flu, saying she is “still traumatised” by “all the mask-wearing” during Covid.

You know what's more traumatising than wearing a mask?

Having your family members die because politicians played culture wars with their lives.

The Covid Inquiry is essential for achieving justice for the bereaved and providing a blueprint to save lives in the future.

But the amount the Government has spent responding to the Inquiry shows why we need the Hillsborough Law now.

I watched Prisoner 951 today. #FreeNazinin was everywhere for a while because of Johnson making her life worse by basically making shit up. £400m for her to come home. Silence on the Tank deal, instead they made the payments and she came home.
Boris Johnson can moan & whine, accuse us of ‘wangling on’ about deaths, & try to re-write history, but there’s no way back from this:

As he tries to rewrite history, whilst continuing to sponge off the taxpayer, and gaslighting us all, especially the bereaved, here is what actually happened.

#2Little2LateJohnson
In the wake of the Inquiry report, BorisJohnson is desperately trying to save his reputation by spreading lies and myths about his response to the pandemic.

So here is a reminder of what it is he would like us all to forget:

Johnson is not exactly known for a love of facts, and the facts below reveal why.

My mum died of covid on 8th January 2021.

I hold Boris Johnson personally responsible for her death and thousands of others.

All his ex-PM privileges should be removed, including £115k he can claim every year.

Think about it. Usually he is first with bluster and obfuscation. His silence is extremely telling.

He is an arrogant, hubristic worm who should be nowhere near public office ever again.
Boris Johnson’s silence is deafening, and his contempt for the bereaved is clear.

His actions during the pandemic amount to one of the gravest betrayals of the British public in history.

His decisions cost tens of thousands of lives that could and should have been saved.

If your words and actions lead to someone taking their own life, you're not on the side of right. You are nothing more than a playground bully.

That applies across the world, and I'm in the UK seeing a war on my trans friends unfold.

Fuck you. All of you.
This Trans Day of Remembrance, my heart hurts thinking of all the people we couldn't carry through to the other side of this moment in history.

Amidst all the fighting we've done for our community, amidst the unshakeable belief that we will win in the end, grief still takes hold.

I'm fascinated by the British Union of Fascists, aka Tories, Reform, and increasingly Labour, calling for strengthening our borders now, when a Tory Govt blithely invited Atletico Madrid into the UK in 2020 despite the news about Covid coming out of Spain. Hypocrisy it seems. @cbffjuk.bsky.social

Not making a decision is as much a choice as making one, therefore, Boris Johnson and the Tories, as well as devolved administrations, chose to sacrifice people to Covid. 23,000 lives could have been saved with a week earlier lockdown, my Dad included.
Today's report makes for devastating reading for all those who lost loved ones to Covid.

The actions of Boris Johnson and his colleagues led to thousands upon thousands of avoidable deaths.

Those who presided over that failure have no place in public life.

Had we locked down a week earlier, my Dad's and 23,000 other lives could have been saved. The Tories didn't care about people, only their petty personal agenda, and we need to never forget that. #CovidJusticeNow

Hi, right wingers, who claim Christmas, as a word, concept, or thing, is being erased. Latest UK ad break suggests that the most cynical industry out there doesn't agree. Christmas ads are everywhere. Wondering where Christmas has been cancelled and how I'm now going to prison for saying Christmas.

Tomorrow, that Inquiry delivers its verdict on the political leadership that oversaw the loss of more than 230,000 of our loved ones.
