✍️ In my interview with Jari Roomer, I stopped to highlight a crucial tip he gave on Substack growth — outsourcing!

📚 Grab Write for Money and Power on Amazon and wherever books are sold.

Because I'm not trying to be "good enough" for someone else's standards. I'm building something that's mine.

"Write for Money and Power" shows you how to build writing income streams where YOU set the standards. Where your creativity isn't held hostage by other people's approval.
January 16, 2026 at 10:29 PM
But something magical happened: When I stopped writing to impress editors and started writing to serve readers, the words flowed.

Now my newsletters make six figures a year. And I've never had writer's block since.
January 16, 2026 at 10:29 PM
You know when I write my best work? When I'm writing for MY audience. When I own the platform. When I'm not performing for gatekeepers.

When I started my paid newsletter, I was terrified. What if nobody subscribes? What if my writing isn't good enough?
January 16, 2026 at 10:29 PM
Why? Because you're trying to write something "worthy" of the opportunity. You're trying to impress people who have more power than you.

That pressure kills creativity.
January 16, 2026 at 10:29 PM
Unpopular opinion: Writer's block isn't a creativity problem.

It's a money problem.

👇 Let me explain:

When you're broke and desperate, you'll write anything. Blog posts. Product descriptions. Email copy. Whatever pays.

But when you finally land a "prestigious" opportunity? Suddenly you freeze.

💭 If you’ve finished — or even just started — the book, leaving a quick Amazon review helps more writers find it and helps authors like me more than you know.

This has been one of the busiest stretches of my life — and also a real gift. I’m slowly re-entering post-book-launch existence, which feels surreal and very welcome.
