I was privileged to be asked to be a beta reader for this course. It's seriously good - not surprising, given it's led by @juliamarybird.bsky.social and delivered by the @writerscentre.bsky.social. Online and very accessible. Go book! nationalcentreforwriting.org.uk/courses/the-...

Going over markers' comments from my final @poetryschool.bsky.social MA portfolio for editing purposes, and AI only effing asks me if I want a summary. No. I wrote it. I lived it, in some cases I suffered it, and I wrote it. Don't even try to AI-splain me to myself. You can't handle the drama.

£41 million. That’s how much more the Post Office has just agreed to pay Fujitsu to keep using the faulty Horizon IT system. It's a slap in the face to all those wrongfully convicted Post Office staff. Please sign and share, thanks:

As it's Remembrance Day, here's a poem from my collection 'Crippled', out now from Red Squirrel Press. Its for my paternal grandfather, who was killed in action aged 22 when my dad was only a few months old.

What a night. I cried, I raged, I saw others and I felt seen. Thank you Joelle Taylor for understanding that femme is also a norm-busting performance - what will hopefully be my second collection features a sequence on high femme as a deflection of the patriarchal gaze and burlesque as subversion.

Feeling very grown-up: now I have a full collection out, I get to be a full Member of @societyofauthors.bsky.social. Joining them was one of the best things I've done for myself as a writer: they fight tirelessly for writers' rights. Highly recommended. societyofauthors.org

Delighted to be shortlisted for Verve's Oct Poem of the Month on the theme of 'ghosted'. True story about a workshop with Glyn Maxwell - I had COVID and he kindly arranged for me to join a @poetryschool.bsky.social MA seminar remotely, but there were mic issues.
