I’m back and forth between Fife and Glasgow for uni, but always appreciate the home nature while I’m here! The resident kestrel put on quite a show for me last week, and these little woodpigeons (I think blown out of the nest by storm Amy) have both fully fledged since this pic #BirdingFife

And the gender criticals will still say that care is too easily accessed because they don't think trans people should exist at all.
In Glasgow, there is a 224-year waiting list for gender clinic appointments.

224 YEARS.

This is institutionalised discrimination. It's unacceptable, it's ruining people's lives and it needs to change.

We have the solution. Time for politicians to act.

We're incredibly concerned about the welfare of two satellite-tagged golden eagles, Tarras and Wren, that have recently disappeared in Dumfries and Galloway.

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland.

After recently capturing this pair of gannets with their egg, I was concerned about their success and survival. This paper gives me hope that they’ve all made it! 😊

A black-eyed and a regular silver-eyed Northern Gannet at Fife Ness yesterday. Suggestion that this change in colour is linked to HPAI infection #birdingFife

Almost all the rare birds in Fife that I’ve gone looking for have evaded me the last few days (especially the Ibis 🥲), but still had a couple good days of birding, except when I got soaked by sudden torrential rain 😅 #BirdingFife

Fife got in on the current Glossy Ibis action with one at Angle Park this afternoon (briefly relocating to Letham Pools). Only the 3rd record for Fife, the previous birds being in 2016 & 2020. #birdingFife

Most notable though, a Nathusius' (?) pipistrelle landing on my leg as I was watching it fly around a potato field. Seemed knackered after its North Sea crossing so i rescued it offf the ground and put it some sheltered cover #birdingFife
Treated to a beautiful wee kestrel very visible in my area today on an otherwise quiet evening #BirdingFife #BirdingScotland
