Hermione was my ultimate inspiration, and I finally felt somewhat normal! I identify with her so much, and I thought that no one understood me. She was such a role model for me, thank you Emma Watson. You'll always be my Hermione

but this is already better than 90% of the movies I've seen. I think the only one that made me react like this this quickly is Se7en.

I'm 20 minus into "I Saw The Devil" and my heart is POUNDING. I watch a lot of thriller and horror movies but I dont think any one of them has made my heart rare skyrocket and my chest tighten like this. Idk what it is, the cinematography the music the actors...

No brush, no pencil. Just a typewriter.

Artist James, using a 1930s Smith Premier typewriter, typed out this painting.

The book itself feels like it was written with a man's dying breath. Like it is draining the life out of the writer and of you. I haven't even gotten to much depravity yet but the atmosphere that is set up is spot on 👌 (3/3) #villain #trueevil #judgeholden #cormacmccarthy
Like the person typing them was becoming exhausted halfway through writing the words. Of course the people are cruel with no kindness or mercy in sight and that is bleak, but not just that. (2/3)

Reading Blood Meridian:
One thing I'm noticing about the book so far is the sheer bleakness of it all. Not just the land is described as bleak; but the way it's described, the way they talk, the word choice, the way the sentences seem so.... exhausted. (1/3)
And then eventually, it says something like "you haven't moved for so long now I have to assume you've died at your computer and if you start moving again you're another player" and then you move and you get this
So then you leave the room and there's a room right next door that says "broom closet" and it actually opens.... and you get this #freewill #choice #decisioncontrollednarrative
The "broom closet" segment of #TheStanleyParable is hilarious
There's this hint in the meeting room that there's someone in the broom closet...
One of my favorite things about The Stanley Parable is the time/ slider things in the beginning loading screen
Like it's so silly but remembers what you entered and interacts like a human. Great writing

Just had a burst of wisdom: being a cheapskate to the extreme is another form of greed. It makes sense because they keep all the money to themselves, will do anything for it, never have enough, and their whole lives revolve around it

Like it's something that doesn't understand the rules of this world and is trying to crudely put pieces together that really don't fit.

This game does such a good job with creating these liminal spaces. The things that are built to function one way but now, when you're observing it, is not functioning and looks out of place and strange and ominous. #unnerving #liminalspaces
I've been watching shows/ movies like "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" or "Westworld" or "From" where the main horror is centered around the fear of something that pretends to be human but isn't.
Seeing a place that's supposed to be full of people completely empty is.... unsettling. It's like an uncanny valley fear, and it's so intriguing to me. #uncannyvalley #TheStanleyParable #videogames
Just starting the game, I think i realized why it creeps me out so much even though there's no threats or danger or anything.... it's the use of liminal spaces. The empty office? One of the creepiest liminal spaces out of all of them.
What Psycho would voluntarily go to the Shivering Isles and be a soldier there? Sheogorath could very literally decide to go to war with the ocean on a random day and throw all his soldiers into the sea and think it's hilarious 😂
