Been seeing a bunch of award eligibility posts lately, so here's mine!

If yall like androids, nanotech, wormholes, gods, and existential dread, or you're looking for SFFH set in the PH 🇵🇭, I had new stories this year!

Art by @cloudyning.bsky.social bc it's still my favorite thing ever 🌙

I also think it's equally as hard as HK! So many complaints about this one being harder but in HK you had to leave sections all the time and come back later when you had a skill upgrade too. Boss fights are the same as always--just learn the patterns. It's fun!

My unpopular(?) Silksong take is that the diagonal pogo is super fun & Hunter's March is the best platforming section so far. I found a controller too fiddly & honestly think pogoing is infinitely easier on a keyboard & mouse (tho this might be biased--my actual hot take is I don't like controllers)

BREAKING: Silksong will be out on September 4. Two weeks from today. Really.

Often, games that take 7+ years to make are plagued by mismanagement and painful burnout. But for Silksong? Team Cherry was having a blast. They still are.

This is their story: www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...
Why ‘Silksong’ Took Seven Years to Make
The highly anticipated indie game has been in production for so long that it’s become an internet meme

Never imagined inner hollowness could be portrayed the way @sydneyficant137.bsky.social did in “Silence Starved and Swallowed” in @fantasymagazine.bsky.social #97.

One of the recent bright spots in the world of speculative short fiction publishing is the rebirth of Fantasy Magazine. Yes, Fantasy is back, published under the Psychopomp umbrella with co-editors Arley Sorg and Shingai Njeri Kagunda at the helm. (You can read more about how this all came about at Psychopomp and support the zine by signing up for a subscription.)

Hi. If you know me, you know I don't often wade into industry discussion. But this response from MRM is fucked. Not only doubling down on a rights grab but lecturing writers about what scraps they should accept. The arrogance is off the charts. Talk about slamming your dick in a car door.

I was a bit pretentious at 12, so I initially liked the idea of a bad luck and good luck number cancelling each other out. Then I realized it had the extra bonus of being both an odd and prime number (and also just had a nice shape to it haha!)
