yeah it's insane how it all just keeps getting worse somehow. it seems like their actual games are the only thing they're doing at all right and even then there's too much baggage for that to matter

i went on record several times saying i did not really care about going for high scores or pvp or anything at all when i first started playing but now i've been clocking in daily in the mines trying to make the perfect rice shower

i did eventually cave and spent a couple hundred pulls on getting the ridiculously broken card maxed out while also filling out the rest of my list in the process because i felt so walled. but i do also like. care about making really good characters. so if you don't you don't NEED amazing cards

ultimately if you don't really want to engage with the mechanics toooo hard beyond the surface level it's ignorable. but like you probably will want a certain character at some point and you better pray you get them while they're on rate up or else The Horrors

it IS a huge time sink but it's really fun. the gacha system kind of matters though bc each character has their own unique career story to play through so characters feel like a bigger deal than in most gacha, and there's also pulling for support cards which are. a whole very important can of worms

i don't think i can recommend it because it's a gacha game so it's ontologically evil on a base level and the actual gacha system itself is maybe the worst i've ever seen but uhhhh i like it a normal amount

they're kinda stuck in the "never get any races adapted" zone for the whole show unfortunately (probably the biggest issue with the main anime is how much it introduces characters who just don't matter) but honestly having played their stories in the game funny lesbian rivalry is like most of it

to be fair they don't give you a lot to evaluate about her in the first place in season 1. season 2 is the "i didn't know mcqueen and teio were real like that" season
