the Esbat guild boss fight was a little........ hmm. the fact that they can just, wipe your entire party at the very end of the fight, unless you can a) kill them both VERY quickly, or b) use a force break to nullify all damage.........

finished the 3rd Stratum!! the enemies in this area were VICIOUS but the boss wasn't too horrible. MUCH easier than the 2nd Stratum boss

i beat the 2nd Stratum, and also the 2nd floor of Ginnungagap!! the 2nd Stratum boss gave me my first game over 😅 and honestly it's a miracle i beat it on the 2nd try, because i completely ran out of items AND TP....... when i killed it every party member was at less than 40 HP left LOL

i've used the "Grimoire Recycle" feature 6 times now and literally EVERY TIME i've gotten back a Natural Instinct grimoire. which i already have 500000 of thanks to Flavio. why god

i will say, it was much easier than i expected. i know the later EO games have a lot of QoL features that help, but...... i have not slept at the inn to heal even ONCE. i managed to sustain myself solely on the replenishing spots, and i didn't even farm them deliberately by wasting time/passing days

finished the first Stratum of EO2U!! i absolutely loved it. lots of memorable little moments, and, it had a good amount of what is, to me, the best part of EO: figuring out clever ways to overcome obstacles, whether that be maneuvering around FOEs or beating an enemy you're underleveled for
