I’m really disappointed in Amazon. I’ve seen them remove reviews for no clear reason, even when authors work so hard to earn them. It feels like the system is stacked against us sometimes, and it’s frustrating to watch our hard-earned progress disappear.

Last night I finished reading @szestavilloauthor.com ‘s The Serpent Woman. Yes, I stayed up to finish. It was well paced, the right amount of mystery for a thriller, main characters you could feel and whether you liked them or not, you could understand.
Definitely recommend. Reading book 3 soon!

Our Fresno flight got changed, so now we drove to SF, staying overnight & up at 4 a.m. to fly to San Diego—then finally to Hawaii.
As adults, we’re fine. It’s the kids (especially the 4-year-old) we’re worried about. This’ll be interesting.

I made it myself. I’ve got a BA + MA in film production—I can wipe my butt with those degrees, but at least I can make my own book trailers.😅

Being a first-time homeowner means discovering wild things…like permanent outdoor Christmas light install costing $600–$1,500. 😭
Two-story house or not, that’s outrageous. Eff that! I swear I’m in the wrong business. So we skipped it & bought a Christmas projector instead. 🎄✨
