Maybe Ms Minto could make a difference & be the accountant that says “Yes”

@jennimintomsp.bsky.social £29 million in 2016 plus £8.8 million for this year is still only £4.2 million per year over the last 9 years. The current estimate for providing tech to all 36,000 #T1D in Scotland is around £120 million per year. #DiabetesDebateScotland

Tonights debate is about Diabetes Tech insulin pumps & Hcl these are only prescribed for Type 1 diabetics. Why are we discussing type 2??

@jennimintomsp.bsky.social unding has been given to give what is needed but its ok to prescribe on cost efficiencies to get more people on tech.

Safety is paramount. You cannot rely on inaccurate sensors or let children have systems that parents cant follow.
