One unfortunate thing I'm learning about game development is that I'm Very Good at realizing my desired interactions and game mechanics through programming but I am Not Very Good at level design or laying out mechanics in a way that feels natural or intriguing. yet. I'm working on it

sometimes I feel bad about how messy and shallow my programming skills are but then I remember that I don't use AI and actually know how to program at all + know how to research things when I'm stuck, and I feel a lot better
