A fellow researcher couldn’t bring themselves to watch a graphic video—and asked me to verify it. I did, but does that have a cost? This piece explores the toll the work takes and what it means when violence becomes just another scroll.

Deepfakes are getting more believable. It won't be long until it'll require more than basic media comprehension to debunk them.

It's been quite something to see the trend with the AI Studio Ghibli art style, which began with images iconic memes to using photos of dead children.

The collection consists of over 400 authentic documents, maps, and items, with the earliest dating back to 1882.

Some significant examples:
1. An original copy of the 1937 Peel Commission
2. Paperwork for Palestinian citizenship during the British Mandate.
3. A letter signed by the first IDF Chief of Staff.
4. A newspaper from East Jerusalem that was produced for over 25 years, up until 1993.

If you know of an exhibit, museum, or academic researcher seeking historical documents, I’d be happy to loan pieces from my collection, which focuses on early Zionism (pre-Israel), Palestinian Nationalism, IDF fought wars, and Mandatory Palestine.

A snippet from one of the lectures:
"The Power of Lies: Disinformation's Role in Sparking Chaos and Conflict."

In this section, I discussed how public WhatsApp groups, fueled by hatred, fake news, and lack of police oversight, contributed to the 2021 Bat Yam lynching.

Two weeks ago, I had the privilege of representing
@fakereporter.bsky.social at Limmud 2024, where I discussed the critical challenges we face daily—from managing the spread of fake news during crises to understanding the severe repercussions of misinformation that we share and spread online.

Heading to the UK to give three lectures and lead a panel discussion, covering topics I’ve explored here extensively: the dangers of fake news, how to identify it, and the psychological warfare tactics behind it.

See you there!

This sounds serious, right?

That a "Trump Insider" told the Daily Mail that drones spotted in NJ are part of a government project called “Blue Beam”—a conspiracy claiming the government will fake an alien invasion to enforce a global totalitarian regime.

Only issue? They didn’t.

I discussed this exact issue in my "A Guide to Countering Mis/Disinformation During a Crisis."

So, the Daily Mail’s “Trump Insider” claim (which gained over 8 million views), supposedly linked to Charlie Kirk, actually traces back to an unverified Reddit post that offers no evidence that can be independently reviewed.

Always verify sources. Claims aren’t always what they appear to be
talhagin.bsky.social
The claim doesn’t even originate from this anonymous X account.

It started with an anonymous Reddit post by a user named “Kid-n-Pay”, who claims to be a radar operator with knowledge of major agencies and what’s happening.

Zero evidence is provided - Just unverified claims from an anonymous.
talhagin.bsky.social
The Daily Mail's claim is allegedly based on a post by Charlie Kirk, an American political activist, who supposedly wrote: “We are fucked. Drones are Project Blue Beam.”

Except, he didn’t write that. An anonymous X account, unaffiliated with Charlie Kirk, did.

And that’s not all
